Last month, over dynamite rolls and miso soup, my cousin and I were fantasizing about dating in the 1940s or 1950s (think movies such as The Notebook or Back to the Future Part 1). You know, the good old days when men initially pursued women. Gone are the days when men brought flowers or a box of chocolates on a date; now they bring a box of Trojans. What happened to walking to your front door to pick you up? Now we meet men at the front entrance of a movie theatre. Dating has definitely changed, but should our standards change as well?
