Fashion Blogging Your Way To The Top

Fashion blogs are quickly becoming a "go-to" source for fashionistas and fashion experts alike. But how exactly do you start a successful blog? Follow these easy steps and you'll be part of the blogosphere very soon.

1. Pick a platform

Social media platforms are humorous and relatively inexpensive (if not free). Do some research and decide when the platform is a good fit for you. Wordpress is probably the most popular platform, but other platforms such as Typepad or Blogger work just as well. Once picking a platform is under your belt, try it out! If it doesn't meet your needs, it's ok! Just pick another.

2. Assess your angle

Fashion is such a broad topic that you could write for eons and never run out of content. However, blogs can be more successful if you peg an angle from the get-go. Grab a piece of paper and brainstorm on aspects of fashion that pique your interest. For instance, if you spend your life trying to replicate celebrity fashion on a shoestring budget, consider this your soon-to-be area of expertise.

Designer Profile - Miu Miu

All you Patentista's out there are definitely on a need-to-know basis with Miu Miu.

Here's what you may not know:

Miu Miu is actually a line from the Prada fashion house, and is named after Miuccia Prada.
It opened in 1992, and has become especially popular in Japan and Hawaii.

Last month, over dynamite rolls and miso soup, my cousin and I were fantasizing about dating in the 1940s or 1950s (think movies such as The Notebook or Back to the Future Part 1). You know, the good old days when men initially pursued women. Gone are the days when men brought flowers or a box of chocolates on a date; now they bring a box of Trojans. What happened to walking to your front door to pick you up? Now we meet men at the front entrance of a movie theatre. Dating has definitely changed, but should our standards change as well?

I. Love. Spring. Everything is reborn, birds are singing, flowers are blooming and it is beautiful!

I also love the return of the stereotypical floral print EVERY YEAR at this time. Some people may tire of it, but I love seeing the new twists on classics every Spring season.

I think by now you realize that I am more inclined to dresses than pantsuits but these three should just make their way into my closet sometime soon.
